Our Church

Fishers of Men Deliverance Ministries (formerly Fishers of Men Campaigners, Inc.) is a deliverance ministry located in Baltimore, Maryland. This ministry originated in Guyana, South America by Pastor Rudolph Chance and Prophetess Lottie Chance as its founders. In the early 1950s there was a prophecy that the church will move to the United States. In 1978, the word of the Lord came to pass when Pastor Chance moved the ministry to the United States. Although Pastor Chance has gone on to be with the Lord, the ministry is continuing in Jesus’ name under the leadership of Bishop Reuben B. Chance and First Lady Lisa Chance, along with Hannah Belcher.

Our vision, given by the Lord to our founders is to feed, clothe, house, educate and deliver God’s people. Our mission is to go into all of the world and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are an evangelistic body of believers who still believe in grass roots knocking on doors and street meetings to share the good news of Jesus Christ. “We are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ because it is power unto salvation”. We are a community oriented ministry that specializes in loving and nurturing God’s people, and bringing them to a place to seek a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We believe –

  • Jesus Christ is God Almighty according to Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:21, John 8:58, John 10:30 & Revelation 1:8

  • A person must be saved to enter into the kingdom of God according to John 3: 5-7 & Romans 10: 9-10.

  • In water baptism in the name of our Lord Jesus according to Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38 & Acts 10:48.

  • In the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues according to Acts 1:4-5, Acts 2:2-4, & Acts 10:44-47.

  • In the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to 1 Corinthians 12: 1-11

  • Jesus Christ will return for His church according to 1 Thessolonians 5: 1-11, 2 Thessolonians 2: 1-12 & 2 Peter 3:3-13

Our Pastor

Bishop Reuben B. Chance was born in Guyana, South America, in 1956.  He migrated to the Baltimore, Maryland in 1973, where he attended college for two years.  Before becoming a Bishop, he served under his father and mother, Pastor Rudolph and Prophetess Lottie Chance.  During this time of his minstrel training, he was taught first how to be a brother.  As he endured this intense training, he eventually was named by God through Prophetess Lottie Chance to continue the ministry of outreach.  Prior to Bishop Reuben Chance becoming the leader of the Fishers of Men Campaigners, he was led by the Lord to rename the work, so the ministry’s new name is now the Fishers of Men Deliverance Ministries, Inc.

Bishop Chance is firm in the faith and manifests the gifts of the Spirit. As recently witnessed in Kampala, Uganda, where the prophetic ministry was in operation, demons were fleeing, souls were being saved, and changes occurred in many lives.  The anointed man of God, while demonstrating the gifts of the Spirit of God, laid hands on several Pastors and transformed their lives after which, the Pastors confessed that they went to another level in God.  Others, after the spoken word was prophetically voiced, also went to another level in God.  In addition to the prophetic move of the Lord in his life, Bishop Chance manifest the gift of interpreting dreams.  He is wise, a good listener, a man of love; he is humble and a man of integrity.  He raises the standard on leadership to a level of no compromise, not just teaching but living the principles of the word of God in his family and his community.
